Privacy Policy
Effective date: 10 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Kyekyeku Network Operators Services (KNOS) (“KNOS”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use our portals, guest checkout, and related services.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — name, email, phone number, password (hashed), role, referral codes, and activation status.
- Transaction data — beneficiary MSISDN, meter numbers, amounts, product selections, references, fulfilment status, and support notes.
- Payment data — wallet ledger entries, mobile money collection references, and provider transaction identifiers. We do not store full card PAN data in KNOS.
- Device and usage — session authentication, approximate device signals needed for security, and optional push notification tokens if you enable them.
- Support — messages and attachments you send via complaints or support channels.
2. How we use data
- Create and secure accounts; verify sign-in (password or one-time codes)
- Process purchases, holds, debits, refunds, and commissions
- Fulfil orders via payment and telecom partners
- Prevent fraud, enforce permissions, and meet audit obligations
- Provide notifications, receipts, and customer support
- Improve reliability and operator workflows
3. Sharing
We share data only as needed to operate the service, including:
- Fulfilment and payment partners (for example Korba for ECG, airtime, and collections) — phone, meter, amount, and transaction references required to complete a request.
- Infrastructure providers hosting application, database, email, and push delivery.
- Regulators or law enforcement when required by applicable law.
- Administrators and authorised office staff who operate your organisation’s KNOS deployment.
We do not sell personal data.
4. Retention
Financial and transaction records are retained for operational, dispute, and compliance needs (often multi-year for ledger immutability). Account credentials remain while the account is active; you may request closure subject to open balances and legal retention.
5. Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport, server-side authorisation, and least-privilege roles. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; protect your password and devices.
6. Your choices
- Update profile details in Account settings where available
- Manage notification preferences when offered
- Request access, correction, or deletion where applicable under Ghanaian data protection law — contact Support; some ledger rows cannot be erased and may be restricted instead
7. Children
KNOS is intended for adult operators and customers conducting commercial or household utility purchases. It is not directed at children.
